nothing beats the original, but the prophet's refixx sounds surprisingly fresh. and to me it sounds a little better when its speeded up to 170 bpm (original speed is around 160).
Angerfist remix is too standard, nothing special...

The Prophet remix is great!

15 Years of hardcore history ( For me ). I like It loud was one of the first track i heard in gabber music.

Really good ang importand release for my person. I listen to gabber music since 1997 and I remember all years till now. Angerfist mix is the best cause oryginal is pure old gabber/hardcore song, that Angerfist trax sounds properly while Hardstyle mix of this classic GABBER track is not in place referring to my feelings and sensitivities. Hardcore should be hardcore. And new school hardstyle music is derived from TRANCE !! Remember that.

is this reality? am i dreamin? angerfist really released his remix?

#5

The Joker: You're right, the Prophet remix is not bad.

thank god there were germans creating these tracks. nowadays it seems their scene is dead, but I think is better to hear nothing more, instead of hear what dutchies and italians produce todays! I know most of you probably don't agree with me, but the germans are (were? will be?) the brain in almost every electronic music field! I like it loud is a pure example of a classic! nothing else to say, they're almost 10 years forward to all others!

I do agree on the part where you say German's are great in electronic music. BUT "I like it loud" is not good imo! It's just a simple catchy melody, but not GOOD at all. There is nothing about that song where I think: 'WOW that's just great how they did that...'
This is not an offense, I'm trying to start a discussion :) in the most positive sense of the word.

"It's just a simple catchy melody"
You say as if this is nothing special, but this is exactly what makes this song stand out and why it is still so popular. Music is not about making things complicated. Most of the songs are easy to forget because they don`t deliver anything to remember but the melody of "I Like it Loud" can be recognised out of thousands instantly.

couldn't say it better

But I personally like complicated music and simple melodies not so much. It was just my opinion, but I do agree on yours too: "It can be recognised out of thousands instantly". But then again Endymion's crappy music stands out too, I don't like it, but it IS good (the way it's produced).

@ Ultimate: Hardstyle derives from German HARD Trance and Dutch MainSTYLE Hardcore! In any case, regarding the track, I prefer the original. They produced it in a different way and time. Today is so easy to produce or remix a track, the softwares rules and are easier and easier, but produce in the 90's wasn't so easy and cheap as today!
