I live for the harder style, but the original System of a Down track so much better :/ and the second track simple horrible.

#2

No offense rhocco, but the so called 'harder styles' you refer to haven't been of high quality for over quite a few years now! :)

#3

I don't understand what you mean:) I love hardstyle (harder styles of dance music) but I don't like these tracks, I think the original rock song is better (Chop Suey) but I hate rock...

#4

absolutely not true. the quality at this moment is higher than ever.

#5

Alot of "harder styles" have become mainstream crap. Degos and Re-done usaly delivers hard beats thats not as booring as many others production these days. So I hope for the best here :)

I agree with this guy. Currently there's wide variety of interesting sounds, kicks and melodies, not just deep reverse bass and simple melodies done with boring leads. Don't get me wrong, I very much enjoy older hardstyle, but today's tracks are more interesting and varied. Good example of great sound design in a track is Code Black's F.E.A.R and B-Front's Virus. Also everything Ran-D and Adaro create is always top quality. I really don't get the whining about hardstyle and its current direction.

#7

indeed. open up your mind even a little and you will notice that the variety and the hardness is still there in hardstyle. only difference being is that is not only revbass & simply melodies. and yes, i love early stuff aswell, been listening to this music for 8 years, but the new stuff just wins me over with the quality and variety of sounds.

Yes.... For Hardstyle is such a truly wonderful piece of the japanese culture. :)

#9
