I think it's mostly the direction the style itself that some people who have been in the scene a while don't like. It's still pretty popular with younger and more open minded people.

It's also a trend around here to bash on anything and everyone.

Thank you for your feedback Anon. I just wanted to know what exactly is it that they don't like about it, yeah, this is nothing new, there has been clashes between uptempo and the newstyle fans since 96/97 when the beats started to become more slower, less breakbeat influence etc.etc if a newstyle dj played to a crowd that still wanted uptempo they would be booed lol, or vice versa or half and half lol. It was a funny time, I see that the rivalry still lives lol.
