people VLC player will play FLAC. you may need to download a codec, it's been so long since I did this lol.

WAV/FLAC and any other lossless format is the best quality you can get. Why someone would rather Mp3 over lossless makes me scratch my head. Well, I guess if you aren't an audiophile or a real DJ then I guess Mp3 is ok for snorting lines and doing the Hakke kickstep while listening to your Ipod.

Ok, seriously download Foobar 2000, it will explain to you what exactly you need, you will need to download a codec pack too which it provides links too, you can convert it to whatever you want it and it's so easy an autistic can do it.

Flac wasn't supported on pioneer decks untill the nxs2 series. Earlier pioneer decks are still widespread, so why want flac. For lossless, wav would make more sense, since it's supported on the majority of hardware multimedia players.

You can't add/change tags easy on WAV or FLACs. And a bit older carradios don't play WAV & FLAC.
