Uhh, why doesnt the scene care about terror/speedcore :(
Why are you asking this question here? is 1gabba the scene? and I don't mean that in a dick way, I'm not sure if you are going to get the answers you are seeking here.
Maybe I can try to give some insight on this, what scene are you referring to? unfortunately there is lots of people who have this like almost xenophobic approach in regards to hardcore. like what I mean is one can only like "mainstyle", or only "industrial/darkcore" or only "early/art/psycore" the real mind fuck is (I LIKE IT ALL) I think there is good and bad in just about everything. You also have to understand lots of these Y2K babies do not understand the 90's (not saying that about all of them) but lots clearly do not get it at all. I dunno man MDMA was super fucking strong back then and everyone was feeling the love in the air lol, so yeah, I love it all and no I don't want a hero cookie or think I'm some wizard but yeah people would rather compare hardcore dick sizes rather than have unity - you have to remember other scenes hate us all and talk shit about us hardcore heads... so fighting amongst ourselves is very stupid and we should just accept people have different tastes and we don't have to love everything, but the unity should be much stronger than what it is which is missing in the scene. I personally do not listen to a ton of speedcore but i do like it and accept it for what it is - it has it's place for sure. I'm sure some out there will strongly disagree, cool, but I tried to give an answer haha
Nice ode to Hardcore, can be adapted for any musical genre out there. It's totally the same inside the metal scene: one can only, no, has to! only like this or that style and all others are shit. That really sucks and bothers me as well for half of my life. Anyway, I sort most music into genres, which is partly a stereotyped thinking, but it helps me narrowing down and describing the music I like (useful links here are techno.org/electronic-music-guide (unfortunately still not updated yet) and mapofmetal.com ). Therefore I like festivals like Defqon where lots of different genres are represented. But unfortunately even on those event you see the people hating each other ("ugh that cheezy nustyle faggots", "those pill-throwing hardtechno freaks" etc). Can't we be one big electronic music family? In the end, we all like this or that style, but we adore it as much as others like their favorite style. And I have to agree to your comment, what I experienced in the last ~10 years is that the hardcore/gabba scene is the most narrow-minded of all subcultures I know and am/was part of - unfortunately. Yeah, hate me for that, 1gabba has always been the place #1 for flamers and haters, which I personally don't care a lot about because it is online and anonymous. These are reasons why I never really got more into that subculture. Maybe I just met the wrong people overall - luckily there a some like my previous speaker that has some brain cells left ;D
Well its not just inside music scenes but over every scene I guess... As rock/ metal you MUST hate electronic music and counterwise. Atleast too many people think like that. I hate that, I listen to everything I like, let it be hardcore, metal, hardstyle, jazz, modern classical, ambient, drum & bass and many more and I dont wanna hear: "real metalheads dont listen to techno" or smth like that. Its all music
Actually not what I meant, but true dat what you said. There is so many nice music out there, no reason to hate anything of it. It meant the warez-scene, because I'm collecting warez stuff :D
btw, this release is just a collection, every single one has been released on 1gabba before
