Outstandig release indeed, still i think there is too much going on that distracts from the core feel of this track. Greater focus on the piano part and less fuzzy basslane and it would be a worthy butterfly successor. Ending is dope

The melody is perfect, but the bass doesn't give me the same feeling as it. I feel like the melody and the bass are totally seperate...

no in terms of quality this is not good. A track should sound like a whole but with every of it's bits distinguishable and in place. When the bass sounds seperate from the rest of the track, this is certainly not good.

LOL you crazy? This is a musical masterpiece, way beyond most of the hardcore producers capabilities. It's not your average hardcore track, maybe you don't get that.

i'm not saying it is a bad track. but bassline and synths indeed sound too much apart. Both lines are superb on each own but they don't complement each other. I guess you are some pseudo audiophiles if you attest me to not have ears but fail to get this flaw. In this release the last three tracks suffer heavily from said issue.

I think I get what you mean. The synth plays along while the bassline has a lot of percussion going on. But I dont think it's bad produced, it's exactly how ophidian wanted it, its just a matter of taste imo. You really think he didnt hear what you heared? I'd say he wanted it exactly like that ;)

After listening to this a few times, I started to accept it and feel it.
It was kind of stupid for me to say my opinion (yeah I'm the one who start this controversy) on 1gabba. But really, if you are familiar with Mainstream Hardcore and haven't heard any track of this guy, it's kind of hard to adapt his sound design. And after you accept it, you'll realize that this guy is genius.

You must be very young if you didn't knew about ophidian. But very nice though that you now learned to love it and see that he's indeed a genius in what he does. You should listen to some of his earlier work. I'm sure you will learn to like it too :)

Thats why he's good, he doenst do what the rest does. Inception by sound (VIP), end the earth 1 & 2, butterfly and abandon are highly recommended if you like this one here

i'd say while you produce a track you may get to a point where you are pleased with the thing you have and then while doing the mix, you realise, that you can't fit the tracks perfectly at this particular part but you go along with it, since it's better than cutting down on all the perscussion you crafted. I wouldn't be pointing this out if i was new to ophidian but since i listened more to his stuff over the past years than to anythign else, i know this doesn't happen in his other tracks. Take love is digital for the most recent example. Everything in this tracks fits so perfectly and every part of the song seems like it belongs exactly there. Especially this super lovely buildup between when the blurred kick starts to fade in overlayered with the "my heart is digital vocal" and the first drop. The song leads you exactly there and the bass hits you twice as hard because of the lovely buildup and the buildup is twice as memorable because of the heavy bass hit. Synths and bass strengthen each other in this track while here i have the sensation that they weaken each other. So i'm hoping for a VIP that fixes some of that.
